Andrea Kott and Christopher Reeder shared insights into child abuse and neglect investigations as well as best practices for how medical professionals should comply with subpoenas and interview requests in their presentation titled “The Protective Service Team as Providers in the Pretrial and Trial Settings.
The presentation highlighted troubling statistics that show instances of alleged and indicated child abuse victims in Cook County and across Illinois and delineated the paths of child protection actions versus criminal actions in the legal system.
The two also discussed:

- Interview requests, subpoenas and other inquiries most common to PST providers
